Last, but not least: For the third consecutive year, the international Extreme Sports elite from Skateboarding and BMX will meet in Berlin on Sunday, Dec. 6th, to celebrate the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Street Session. Making their way to the Velodrom to compete on tyres and wheels will be old friends and new discoveries alike. For the first time, the Street Session presents the official finals of the World Cup Skateboarding series 2009. Among the competition are WCS rank-leader Renton Millar (AUS) and former European Champion / two times German Champion Alex Mizurov. Rob Darden (USA), winner of the BMX Dirt Session, and Simon Tabron (X-Games Winner Dubai 2007) are part of the BMX craziness in Street and Vert. On the stage, headliners Deichkind are going to celebrate a party second to none. Tickets for this winter’s action highlight are available through pre-sales right now!
Saint Nicholas Day, the extreme version. So, there’s not only chocolate, apples and nuts for the kids, but also fat tricks and a highly exciting competition between the World’s best skaters and BMX riders. Furthermore, having itself established as the only World Cup Skateboarding event in Germany, the Street Session is proud to present the huge finals of the World Cup Skateboarding tour 2009. In Street and Vert, the 22 top-riders are competing for the highest of all skateboarding titles – and a huge pricemoney purse, of course. Leading up to these finals was a point race of 14 stops in New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, USA and Italy.

Ready to rule the street course are former European Champion, two-time German Champion and „Game of Skate“ Pro World Champion 2006 Alex Mizurov, skate-beau and showman Adam Dyet (USA), as well as the European Champion 2008, Phil Zwijsen from Belgium. Awaiting their opponents in the vertramp are globetrotter Renton Millar from Australia, Adam Taylor (USA – 5th place X-Games Big Air), and his fellow countryman Alex Perelson.
We’ll keep the wheels spinning with the 22 set top-riders for the BMX Street and Vert competition.
Next to the third-placed of the BMX Masters 2008 – Alessandro Barbero (ITA) – we’re going to see the winner of the Dirt Session Rob Darden (USA) and the 2009 FISE winner Mark Webb (UK) go at it on the street course. On the vert ramp, Simon Tabron (UK, winner of the Dubai X-Games 2007), Chad Kagy (USA, silver medallist US X-Games 2008) and the runner-up of the BMX Masters 2008, Francisco Zurita from Chile, will show us how it’s done. They made crowd-surfing in a rubber-dinghy fashionable and enjoyed the festival-summer 2009 with a probably six-digit number of fans – and now, the Hamburg-based Tech-Rap-Elektro-Party-heroes of Deichkind headline the Street Session of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds in Berlin. On their way from solid, German rap music 1997 to the Electric Super Dance Band they are today, members of the band have come and gone, but the steady flow of new fans never stopped. 2008, former rapper Ferris MC (aka Ferris Hilton) became part of the band.  “Remmidemmi (Yippie Yippie Yeah)” became THE party hymn of the whole nation. Coming December 6th, Germany’s craziest live act invites you to go bonkers at the Velodrom Berlin. If you’ve seen their unbelievable live performance before, you know what we’re talking about. If you haven’t, you better prepare yourself to be blown away by trampolines, monsters, and a party that you wish was yours.
When Deichkind takes the mic – bon voyage. Get on the ride, next stop: The Street Session!
