Amsterdam, September 23rd,
15 of the best Dutch Freestyle Soccer players headed to the Vondelkerk in Amsterdam to qualify themselves for the Red Bull Streetstyle World Championship in April 2010. In a 3 minute during battle 2 of the players had the opportunity to showed their tricks to the audience and judge. After 20 seconds the ball had to be passed to the opponent 'till the clock reached zero. 3 minuts, 2 players, 1 ball......
After the first round only 8 players made it to the quarter finals. The audience got more loose and cheered to their favorite while the DJ filled the church with his best beats.
Head judge and prof football player Edgar Davids mentioned before that the winner of this evening would defineletly make it to the top 10 in the world finals. The Dutch freestylers play on a high level. Not only Edgar judged this evenening, also the Frenchman Sean Garnier, who won the 2008 Red Bull Streetstyle World Finals at Sao Paulo and pro-dancer Ezsteca Noya gave their vote to the players. In the overwhelming final, Nick Zieren and Daniel Rooseboom showed the audience their absolute best tricks and combo's. Daniel, who had been to the World Finals before, proved that he was the best competitor of the evening. In April 2010 he will be the one to represent the Netherlands during the World Finals in Kaapstad, Africa.
