Knut Höhler winner Strongman Run 2010!The sun is shining, the weather is sweet. Not for the 6.995 participants of the Fisherman's Friend Strongman Run. The Strongman Run is a trailrun with some serious obstacles. The track is 18 kilometers long with 27 obstacles! The runners must chalenge cold water, dust, mud and steep climbs to recieve their finisher medal. Some hardfacts about this event: - 8914 joiners, 6955 actually started and 6563 finished the run ![]() One of the hardest obstacle was called the 'Spiders Web', a spectaculair ropecourse between two bunkers, but also the 'Black Sea', a deep pool was one of the favorites of the 40.000 spectators. The 27 year old Knut Höhler won the 2010 edition of the Strongman Run and conquered all the obstacles in 1 hour, 42 minutes and 26 seconds. "This was the best Strongman Run - perfect weather, super obstacles and strong competition. I will return next year to defend my title". By the woman crossed Nina Schüler after 2 hours, 11 minutes and 4 seconds the finish. Fastest team was the Brooks Running Team with Knut Höhler, Karol Grunenberg and Henry Beck. Racers from 40 different nations participated in this years Strongman Run. The New Zealander Ruben Wiki (Rugby player) had to travel the biggest distance to get to Weeze. He came from Auckland to join the race. He finished after 3 hours, 40 minutes and 57 seconds and became 4527th. Michael Klim, the Olympicsmedal swimmer from Down Under finished after 2 hours, 46 minutes and 42 seconds. Results Fisherman's Friend Strongman Run 2010 Men 1.
